Image Upload & Font Identification

When you upload an image for font identification, the image is sent to Google's Gemini API for analysis. We do not permanently store your uploaded images. A SHA-256 hash of the image is used as a cache key to speed up repeated requests.

Caching

Identification results are cached in Cloudflare KV for up to 7 days using the image hash as a key. This cache contains only the font identification results, not the original image.

Identification Logs

We store identification logs in our database for service improvement. These logs include the identified font names, confidence scores, and timestamps. They do not include the original images.

External Services

This site loads font stylesheets from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) to display live font previews. Google's privacy policy applies to these requests.

Cookies

FontScope does not use cookies or any client-side tracking.
